Для коржей: 2 тонких стакана муки, 200 г сливочного масла или сливочного маргарина, 1 тонкий стакан сметаны.
Для склеивания коржей: 300 г густого яблочного джема или домашнего яблочного варенья.
Для шоколадной глазури: 150 г сахарной пудры, 2 столовые ложки порошка какао, 3 столовые ложки горячей воды, 2 столовые ложки растопленного сливочного масла.
Для отделки: сливочный крем (100 г масла, 1 желток, 2 столовые ложки сахарной пудры, 2 ложки коньяка).
Для украшения: горсть ядер грецких орехов.
Из масла, сметаны и муки замесить однородное пластичное тесто, разделить его на 6 равных частей, раскатать 6 одинаковых по размеру тонких кружков, наколоть вилкой, испечь при температуре 200 – 220 С до золотистого цвета, охладить. Охлажденные коржи намазать тонким слоем яблочного джема и положить друг на друга (шестой корж нижней поверхностью вверх, так как она ровнее). Верх торта также намазать тонким слоем джема, после чего покрыть шоколадной глазурью и ею же обмазать края. На еще слегка не застывшую глазурь положить самые красивые крупные половинки ядер грецких орехов, а мелкими обсыпать бортик торта. Когда глазурь полностью застынет, на поверхность и края торта из сливочного крема нанести украшения в виде тонкого изящного орнамента и звезд.
